which is a global private equity firm that manages assets for a diverse investor
base of ultra high net worth partners and leading institutions. Vanterra
Capital’s private equity platform
invests in “best of class” small and emerging private equity
funds as well as makes direct investments to generate superior long term
returns.
Alan Quasha is actively involved in many boards and is Co-Chairman
of Carret Asset Management, LLC and Chairman
of Brean Murray, Carret & Co. Carret Asset Management,
LLC is a privately-owned investment advisory firm serving high net worth
individuals and institutions. For over 40 years, Carret has remained
focused on advising its clients in achieving their long-term goals and
on investing in companies, industries and economies characterized by
quality and representing exceptional value. This principle remains the
cornerstone as Carret’s investment activities
include those in both international and US markets.
Over the last two decades, Alan Quasha has managed investments in dozens of companies in the United States and emerging markets. Many of these investments were restructuring and turnaround situations involving significant hands-on operating experience. He has served as a director of Richemont SA from 1988 up until the time he joined the Board of Compagnie Financière Richemont SA (a world leading luxury goods company) and was Chief Executive Officer of North American Resources Limited, formerly a joint venture between Richemont SA and the Quasha family, between 1988 and 1998. He is also Chairman of the American Brain Trauma Foundation. He was a past director of American Express Funds and a former Governor of the American Stock Exchange. Mr. Quasha holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard College, an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Law degree from New York University Law School, and a Doctorate of Law from the Harvard Law School.
